Maitan is 16. He could be special but lets not put any labels on him. I highly doubt Ruiz, Davidson, Peterson will ever be impact players. Doesn't mean that can't be productive, but few people expect them to be impact players. Demeritte could if everything clicks but he has more questions...

in my mind we have one potential star in Swanson. Others potentially without any track record yet. But he also doesn't necessarily project to be a true middle of the order impact bat.

Got a long ways to go before we really know what we've got. But there's never been any doubt he has absolute front line potential. He's been fun to watch the last two games and I've said for a while he could end up being the best young pitcher we have. Again, long ways to go.

The Braves absolutely should not sell Inciarte short because of his slow start(injury related). My point has always been, the trade obviously was a haul for us and a fantastic deal. But that's mostly because of getting Swanson. Inciarte is a nice player but I said at the time of the trade...

There are lots and lots of people that think Drury will be a very good major league bat. That doesn't mean it's going to haunt us because it was a very good trade to make and we turned Upton into Fried/Mallex/etc. But anyone that doesn't think Drury is a real talent needs to pay attention more.

Just fire him already. He has no future here. Take the time to see if Eddie Perez is a legitimate option as our interim manager.

Drury is the guy I was dying for in the Shelby deal(obviously not complaining about what we got). He's going to be a very very good bat for a long time.
