GDT: August 18th Nationals at Braves

They do have an off day on Monday. If I had paid good money to travel to Atl to see this game I would be pissed.

Yeah, I like him better than Murphy in the booth. Dale tends to ramble and talk a bit too much.

Win or lose, this is fun.

You act like you missed the first 4 months of this season. BJ was less than dependable even before he signed with ATL. Now, he's a liability at the plate and the way the lineup is constructed it seems as if Schafer is being given the chance to show he adds more to this team. They won't give up...

    GDT 8/17/2013: Nationals @ Braves

I think Schafer is doing quite well despite not having results recently. Still working the count, taking walks and hitting to the opposite field. Hit in some tough luck of late. I seriously think he is getting a solid look because Fredi is preparing him for the playoffs. This is a lost season...

Maybe Upton did deserve to catch one in the hip pocket. The fact that the Nats don't have the nads to take care of business says more about them than it does about the Braves for plunking Harper. I mean, the Nats fans chastise the Braves for hitting Harper in one instant and then the very next...

    95% chance, huh? Very impressive.

    Pastornicky

Definitely a trade in the works. I have little doubt that the Braves will bring in a new 2nd baseman in the next few days.

    Potential Playoffs Move

I definitely like getting Schafer in there as well. Both he and Gattis are valuable from a bench perspective too. Just concerned about the playoffs and trotting Uggla and BJ out there. I have no confidence either will be productive against good pitching.

    Potential Playoffs Move

Yeah, he hasn't been hitting bombs or driving the ball consistently like earlier. But in the 19 games (20 hits) he has played since he came back from injury, he's hit safely in 14 of those. He's not in a major slump. Just not the superhero he was earlier. Only 4 of those 20 hits have been for...

    Potential Playoffs Move

BJ has been crap all season. Gattis hit a little slump after coming back from injury. I also think pitchers are throwing him much more offspeed and Gattis was overly aggressive. I don't think there's any debate that Gattis is the much more productive hitter.

    Potential Playoffs Move

I definitely feel putting Heyward in center and Gattis in left is the way to go. Also, we need someone to take at bats away from Uggla in the post season too.

Please Put Uggla Out of Our Misery

I definitely think that during September, we need to be letting Pastornicky (or any other options) get a lot of at bats and innings at 2nd base. It's one thing to allow Dan to work through his problems during the season and now with an insurmountable lead. It's completely different to allow...

    Freddie Freeman

I guess you are comparing his swing with Utley's because of the abbreviated finish. I don't think that really affects power. Justin has an abbreviated finish as well. Remember when you said Freeman's swing would limit his off-field power? Still going with that? Pitch selection is one of the...

    Predict BJ Upton's final numbers

Both Uptons struggled immensely with their timing. It's really odd that both of them went through similar stretches of being totally lost as to how to get that timing back. The ability to time a pitch and adjust to changing conditions is the reason they are big league hitters. It's weird how...

So I'm renting a house I own out....

I've already agreed to fix the cabinet and wall. It's the range top that I have a problem with. I may propose that we split the cost. Thanks for your advice and input!

So I'm renting a house I own out....

It is a stand alone cabinet. There was not a stud behind the cabinet as it was installed with drywall screws. All screws were pulled from the wall, leaving damage where they pulled from the drywall. Not the most lock solid secure cabinet, but I have trouble this as normal wear and tear and not...

So I'm renting a house I own out....

Yeah, this certainly wouldn't be an issue if it was for less than $100. However, ceramic stove tops are sometimes more expensive to buy and have installed then simply buying a new stove.

Lease already says all damages outside of normal wear and tear are responsbility of tenant. They are saying it was my fault because cabinet wasn't 'secure'.

So I'm renting a house I own out....

I'm a new renter. I have very good tenants. They pay on time and have been no trouble in the past two yrs. I got a call that one of the tenants opened a cabinet above the stove (actually next to the ventilation hood) and it 'came off the wall'. Literally fell off the wall and smashed my stove...
