I think Trump has done well in areas outside of tariffs that’s reflected in the markets. Specifically, his administration is very AI and energy friendly and has either signaled or follow through on cutting regulations. The market has welcomed that.

I’m not trying to make the argument that economic policy should be entirely dictated by financial markets. But I have seen Trump and MAGA make the argument that the market has performed well this year BECAUSE of tariffs. GTFO
