    Bryce Harper Megathread

Does it really matter who he roots for, as long as he engages in discussions in a civil manner? I've met complete idiots who are Cardinals fans (Best fans in the sport... yeah, right), and on the other side, I've met respectful and knowledgeable Yankees fans. The world would be boring if ALL of...

GDT 8/7/13: Braves (Medlen) @ Walgreens (Zimmerman) 7:05 PM

Yeah, I don't care if he just takes a strikeout here. Just don't put one on the ground.

GDT 8/7/13: Braves (Medlen) @ Walgreens (Zimmerman) 7:05 PM

Boy, if we get 2012 Medlen back these last few months... the playoff picture starts looking a LOT better pitching matchup wise. I hope it's more Medlen's side session with MacDowell, and less of the Nationals being terrible at scoring runs.

    Bryce Harper Megathread

Well, it's not just Harper, it's basically everyone who's complaining about the issue. Harper's own personal reaction surprised me a little bit, honestly, considering that when he just got called up, Cole Hamels nailed him with a pitch for no apparent reason, and he just took his base, and...

    Bryce Harper Megathread

It's my hope that in tonight's game, whenever Justin (or McCann, or whomever) gets hit by a pitch, they take their base, and hopefully score. And after the game, when they get asked about it, they just say something like "Oh, it's part of the game. What am I going to do, whine about it?" It'd...

OT: Changed your screenname since scout? Post the original here (for my benefit)!

Eric Gregg. Too soon? :Gasp: But yeah. I lurked for a long time on the scout boards, but never actually posted. So what my name was over there's irrelevant. I am going to post here, though. I'll try to keep my ranting and raving over umpires to a minimum.

    100 wins possible?

I keep hoping that the Pirates keep on rolling, and the Cardinals have to fight just to make it in. ...and if they get screwed over in the Wild Card game, well, I wouldn't exactly be shedding any tears. :icon_biggrin: So yeah, it's the Dodgers I'm more worried about. They have plenty of time...

    100 wins possible?

That number looks crazy gaudy, but then I remember the 2001 Mariners were only one win shy of that... geez, that team was dominant! But even that team lost to the Yankees, so I'll take an inferior record and a hot team headed into the postseason any day over 100+ wins and an early playoff exit...
