Seriously though, I could get behind Gallardo. We would be buying low on him with his struggles this year but dude has put up 4 very solid seasons before that. We would have him for 1.5 years. Of course it all depends on the cost which would still be pretty steep, imo.

The one thing about Gallardo is he can hit better than BJ Upton. Career line of .212/.240/.372 with 12 HR's in 344 at-bats.

I would love to add Crain as I think he is the best option out there for the BP as long as he is healthy. I don't care if he is RH or LH, just get people out. That would remove Varvaro from any high pressure spots as well.

If Wood's mechanics/arm hold up, he will be a stud. I like what I saw. He has a funky delivery though.

Bonds is the best player I have ever seen regardless of what he did or when he did it. Griffey is probably 2nd overall player. Big Hurt, Pujols and Cabrera are all up there as far as just pure great hitters as well. I can't judge the ones I never saw play.
