I'm personally not sure I agree that you trade them for whatever you can get. It has to be something that projects to help.

Preller is honest the perfect fans GM. He's always doing something. Generally it's the opposite of what he was doing ten minutes ago, but there is always action.

if you trade away young stars what are you even doing? Whats the thought process behind ever being goood? It's almost impossible for a team to put together the fair value to acquire something like that anyway.

If you think of a baseball team like a beach house, you are kind of getting on the right track. It doesn't produce income, but it always appreciates. I don't think everything from Battery and revenue is plowed back into payroll but I don't think Liberty sluffs off that much cash either.
