Looks like Alonso was right to bet on himself. People thought he was crazy for turning down the Mets offer of 7/158 a couple of years ago. Well two years later and a new 5 year deal he's turned that into 7/205.
Just as a point of reference. Not all of our extensions have worked out. But Olson for 5/108 remaining with only 4/88 guranteed is a massive savings over what's out there now.

That's fair. I'm in a similar boat with Andruw right now. Granted I do think he was an overall better player than Murph but he's a clear borderline candidate as well.
