If Ohtani pitches and hits all year, no one is having a similar season (except maybe Judge, but he’s in the AL). Ohtani is worth 7-9 wins offensively and then add another 3-4 wins as a pitcher. You do the math.
They get confused because they’re the same thing. Just because Ohtani is on a better team doesn’t make him less valuable. If you put Ohtani on the Braves last year, they make the playoffs.
