I’d have done an equivalent deal for Gore after seeing what Texas gave up. Very possible Nats didn’t want to in-division but I doubt they care. Gore has a lot of untapped potential. Feels like a buy-low from Texas even though his value hasn’t tanked or anything.
Correct. What does a draft from 2010 have to do with today? Other teams have had more success. I don’t think you stop drafting pitchers because of what happened decades ago.
I think they’ve done pretty well drafting pitchers lately (except in the 1st round…except CamCam).
Walmart can be both operationally efficient and also bad for the American people.
But we’re talking about someone who doesn’t recognize what a shithole the majority of the American south is, so what can you do?
I’m surprised Bassitt didn’t sign right after Kelly did, the same way Keller and Weaver signed identical deals, minutes apart. I can’t imagine Bassitt will get much more or much less than Kelly.
1/$20m for Kim is not market value.
Getting Dubón for Allen was not market value.
By $/WAR, Yaz was signed below market value.
Iglesias is probably only here because he wasn’t dealt at the deadline.
The thinking and “analysis” is a bit too simple.
Teoscar isn’t even a good example. Dude put up 0.6 fWAR last year. Their team is full of guys making market value and they sign market value players every offseason.
Lol the dodgers success is 100% because they spend a lot of money and are able to defer contracts. Acting as if they have some mastermind front office is so funny.
