Shift got Drake.

The article I read said that the new stance shortened his load time allowing him a few milliseconds longer to read the pitch before starting his swing. I guess that could mean not swinging at bad pitches as much…. I am definitely not a major league hitter, so I really don’t have an opinion.

The strike percentage was better. Still room for improvement there, but a really encouraging start.

Waldrep appears to have great movement on his pitches. He gets a lot of swings and misses on pitches out of the zone, but needs to be able throw strikes more consistently. Just what everyone else has been saying about him.

No doubt… but he said he treated this as the beginning of the off-season. Only explanation I can think of.

I read his comments to mean that he was only looking for a return on his trades that would help the team next season. I get that… but if it wasn’t available, he could have taken what was available. The temptation to bring these guys back with new contracts might just be too hard to resist now.

If Ozzie could consistently be willing to go the other way like that, he would be a much better hitter.

I am guessing that the percentage of fans that go to the games is only slightly correlated with the number of games they have won, or to presence of a certain player.

I switched to the radio sound feed. I miss hearing from BG and Jeff, but it is a lot better to listen to.

Am I the only one who finds the crowd noise on the tv so loud that I have to have it turned up way too loud to hear the announcers?
