    Minor League Thread Part Deux

Kiley put us at 26: The Braves continue to graduate good players who were only in the top 100 for a limited time, with Drake Baldwin the most recent and Hurston Waldrep graduated as he was turning the corner to move up in these rankings. Caminiti could debut as soon as 2027 while the two...

Ritchie and Caminiti are also now PPI eligible. Obviously close to zero percent chance that matters for Caminiti, but if we don't add a starter and Ritchie has a good spring, who knows.

This section from Kiley's Caminiti write up jumped out to me the most: "I thought Caminiti should add an upper-80s cutter to round out his repertoire and asked someone who would know, and it turns out we'll be seeing that in 2026; the early data looks positive. If he doesn't take a big step...

3 years for $126 million. $42 million AAV and an opt out after every season for Bichette. These contracts are getting more and more insane.

Thought this was an interesting way to look at pitching depth. The left column ranks teams in WAR by their projected 1-4 in their rotation, the middle column measures the remaining WAR on the pitching staff. We're 7th in the 1-4 category and 11th in the remaining WAR.

Not sure where to put this but I'll throw it here. Kiley McDaniel wrote one of his annual articles at ESPN today - ranking the best player by birth year since 2000. He has Caminiti ranked as No. 9 among 2006 birthdays, but the most interesting is lower on the list. He has Diego Tornes at #7...

I'm more interested in MacKenzie Gore if we're going within the division.

If this is accurate - which seems questionable based on the track record of Braves fans trying to act like insiders on Twitter - he’s saying Gallen is one to watch. I think AA is too smart for that, but I guess we’ll see.

Cease was the only one I would’ve given up the pick for. Hoping the pitcher comes through trade, love the Eovaldi idea.

It's worth pointing out that the 3rd cap is also where you start getting into draft pick impacts. I believe if you go over that 3rd cap that your first draft pick gets pushed back 10 spots - but that would be in the 2027 draft, not the 2026 draft where we have the two high picks. I'd be really...

Looks like we offered Diaz five years but less than $20 million per year, per an ESPN article today.

And we can still put the QO offer on him next offseason if he has a good year.
