GDT #11, 4/12/'14: Braves (Wood) vs Nats (Jordan) Simmons back

Nope. Bullpen was my biggest concern coming into the season. When everyone else was worried about the starting pitching I kept saying bullpen.

GDT #11, 4/12/'14: Braves (Wood) vs Nats (Jordan) Simmons back

Freddie Freeman is one of the 10 best hitters in baseball period. There's no debate.

GDT #10, 4/11/'14: Braves (Teheran) vs Nats (Roark) still no Simmons

I think it's Zimmerman with Werth 2nd and Harper 3rd.

GDT #10, 4/11/'14: Braves (Teheran) vs Nats (Roark) still no Simmons

I don't think you guys understand the rule. The manager can challenge at any point during the game. It's just that after the 7th inning the umpires can call for a review themselves.

GDT #9, 4/10/'14: Braves (Hale) vs. Mets (Mejia) BJ batting 2nd. Doumit Catching

Out of the guys we have to work with? He's probably the option that makes the most sense. Also for what it's worth, which isn't very much given the sample size, Simmons has done his best working hitting 2nd (.322/.354/.444 (.799) in 97 PA). The reason I believe that is the case is because...

GDT #9, 4/10/'14: Braves (Hale) vs. Mets (Mejia) BJ batting 2nd. Doumit Catching

Simmons doesn't walk enough (only 1 walk this season) to be in the 2nd spot but out of the available guys we have he may be the best option. Although I fear him hitting into a lot of double plays because he doesn't strikeout.

I See How It's Gonna Be

I didn't say they were. I figured they wouldn't be like that. But some others would be like that. Lurkers need to post or GTFO. The want to start trouble then they need to get it handed to them.

    Braves Walks and Strikeouts

Last year when the Braves were striking out a ton they were still walking a ton to balance it out. Well there's good news and bad news to report on that front in the early going of 2014. The Braves as a team have 82 strikeouts this season which is tied with the Red Sox for 10th most in the...

I see how it's gonna be. So I bitched at Dylan and Niners for being negative all off season and this ****ing board gangs up against me and takes every single post I make (even if it's not negative) and starts calling me out on it and PMing Sav about it. Little bitches you guys are. **** this...

GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

So BJ didn't give up on that ball? The ball was not drifting back towards center?

GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

Now Luis Avilan is hurt. Great, just great. I'm not watching this crap anymore.

GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

Ball was moving back towards center and BJ is the damn centerfielder. Not to mention that it was in the air FOREVER!!!! It should have been a routine fly out and BJ's lazy ass just gave up on it.

GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

If there were ever a player that deserved to be called lazy it's B.J. Upton.

GDT#7, 4/8/'14: Braves (Harang) vs. Mutts (Colon) 7:05 PM EST [HOME OPENER]

Fly ball to almost straight away center and BJ didn't go after it and Justin couldn't get to it.
