Beane's had some good picks but he's whiffed on alot of picks. Yes they draft late every year but he's had some really underwhelming drafts. Josh backpacks that team. Like he's throwing to Samuel, Cooks and Coleman out there....
Dodgers are the best team in baseball but Toronto outplayed them in the WS and honestly probably should have won. Baseball isnt like other sports where talent always win. It's a cruel sport.
Stefanski's probably the 2nd best coach available in this cycle. And you'll be keeping Ulbrich who did a great job with that defense down the stretch. What happens at the QB spot is the biggest question.
Do they even need him? They have Ohtani, Glasnow, Yamamoto and Snell, plus others behind them. Those 4 with Peralta would be an absolutely insane rotation. If the return is good, you cant really fault LA.
There's gotta be a cap at least, or otherwise it's basically pointless for the rest of the league if one team can just outspend everyone for anyone they want.
The talk with the next CBA will be rather rather interesting to say the least. I'm not sure of the penalties the Dodgers will face but i'm sure they can more than afford it.
IF there's a cap, how would that come into effect for the Dodgers. Like how would all their highly paid players be on the team? Without looking, they're probably well in the 350 range. Like lets say you couldnt go over 250-270 payroll or less even.
Not sure how it'd work but you have to imagine there's gonna at least be a cap floor where you cant go over. Without even looking, their payroll is probably in the 350 range or more.
