    Snit Watch

AA will finally have the opportunity to choose his own guy. He's kind of been saddled with Snit since he got here, and had no opportunity to fire him since they've made the playoffs every year besides this one. He's handled it admirably, but now he really needs to make the right choice.

    New Manager Discussion

Weiss should be given a token interview if he wants the job, but should not be under serious consideration. Him and Fredi should both leave after a new manager is chosen.

    2025-2026 offseason thread

Well his job is to fill seats, and the Braves drew nearly 3 million fans again. I highly doubt he is on the hot seat. There doesn't appear to be any pressure to win in Atlanta.

    2025-2026 offseason thread

Interesting that other teams have been having their GMs speak to the media for end of season press conferences, but we haven't heard anything out of the Braves yet.

MadduxFanII once stated that he does not lament The Adam Wainwright trade, and this is his thread to expound and expand!!

This thread made me realize how long I've been hanging around these boards. My earliest memories of joining the Shanks board was 2005 NLDS. I literally followed along to the 18 inning playoff game against the Astros for the entire game thread. Sad to see message boards like this dying out. You...

    Post-Season Thread

It sucks to see Fried have such a good outing in his first postseason game for the Yankees, especially after how many disastrous outings he had for the Braves in the playoffs. At least we'll always have world series game 6.

    2025-2026 offseason thread

Was just reading an article on MLBTradeRumors about Ron Washington and if he's coming back to coach the Angels next year. An interesting thought I hadn't considered was brought up, in that teams may be hesitant to bring on a new manager next year because of the impending lockout in the year...

    Tankathon draft pick watch

Looks like Morton is now listed as the probable starter for Sunday.

    Snit Watch

That's true, but there has also been serious underperformance which is more concerning.

    Snit Watch

I agree with this. I mean, just watching the games and observing him in the dugout, he looks disconnected. There is no visible connection to his players, who it appears he just lets them go about their business without interjecting.

Great Waldrep article on Fangraphs today. Even addressing some of the pre draft hype towards his pitches. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/i-am-declaring-victory-i-was-right-about-hurston-waldrep-all-along/

    2025 Trade Deadline Thread

I don't see him selling either. But my thoughts are that's for the fan base, in hopes of keeping attendance up. Feels like there is a large portion of the fan base who is dumb enough to believe the team is still a contender this year.

GDT 05/25/25 Friars @ Braves A Schwell Of Two Cease-ons

My biggest observation is that it doesn't appear Snitker is any longer the guy to get the most out of his players. Whether he was ever that guy is debatable. But as others have noted, there seems to be a real leadership issue, and nobody seems to be held accountable. That seems to have led to an...

Are we ever going to have a lifer Atlanta Brave, ala chipper jones, ever again?

I know he sucks right now, but we could very easily make Albies that guy.

    2025 Around The League Thread

Have to factor in the reaction on this board at the time. I'm not sure anyone here expected he'd still be performing at this level at this age. In fact I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that first baseman age horribly. So hindsight is 20/20.

    4/16: strider is back

I always have had the impression that AA didn't want to keep Snit but has no choice. Especially due to the success of the team since AA has been here. Feels like it would be a PR disaster to fire a manager who hasn't even missed the playoffs since AA got here.
