    Minor League Thread Part Deux

Even the best talent evaluators might hit on 1 out of every 10 prospects. While we don't know how these current prospects will eventually work out, it's just a fact that the draft classes under AA have simply been sensational, aside from his first class in 2018. 2019: 2 major hits in Langeliers...

A couple of places already have him as our top prospect.

    2026 : Around the League

Padres have a lot of regression coming unless their offense picks it up. Jackson Merrill will probably turn it around, but Machado might be cooked. Tatis' power numbers since getting popped have not been super impressive and this year they have been non-existent. If things go south (and they...

GDT 5/12/26: Braves vs Cubs - Kim’s Season Debut

Obviously, we're not a .700 win team. That would be 113 wins and only 3 teams have won 113 games or more. But there was plenty of reason to believe this team would win 90+ games this year, even with the pitching injury woes. Having Acuna and Riley healthy to start the season was reason enough...

GDT 5/13/26: Braves vs Cubs - What Does Farmer Have To Do?

We'll see. His metrics are in line with his career averages and several have actually improved. The only thing that's drastically different is the BABIP.

Why am I irrationally mad that the Dodgers have hired Jason Heyward as a special assistant?

GDT 5/13/26: Braves vs Cubs - What Does Farmer Have To Do?

With a .206 BABIP vs a career .306. He's getting insanely unlucky on balls in play. He's also striking out at a career low and walking at a career high. That bad luck will flip at some point and he'll likely finish with his best offensive season since 2022.

Abrams and Wood are going off. But the rest of the lineup is pretty mediocre.

I've posted about him a couple times. He's on my radar. Another potential short king. The adjustments he's made since being promoted to AA are definitely noteworthy.

    2026 : Around the League

Wish the A's or Mariners would pull away in the AL West so we could land deGrom at the deadline. Imagine throwing Sale, a revamped Strider, and deGrom in the playoffs... drool. I think Mets fans would be on suicide watch if that happened, lol.

    Schwelly to start throwing soon

Should probably put him making rehab starts in mid-late July. Waldrep should be due to make his first rehab start within 3-4 weeks if all goes well.

GDT 5/12/26: Braves vs Cubs - Kim’s Season Debut

If they go .500 or better over that stretch, I'll consider them a legitimate threat. I get the feeling they won't. Harper hasn't made his annual IL visit yet either.

I don't think moving Hartman up is rushing him. If he was simply having a really good overall season, like Isaiah Drake, then yeah I would consider moving him up as rushing him. But when he's arguably the best hitter in the league and showing no signs of slowing down, I think you have to give...

GDT 5/12/26: Braves vs Cubs - Kim’s Season Debut

Even the rotation is a bit of a stretch to say "good."Only Sanchez and Wheeler are good. And with Wheeler his metrics suggests his stuff is worse and he's getting a bit lucky, so he could see a bit of regression if his stuff doesn't get back to where it was . Luzardo has the ability to be TOR...
