I think they'll sign Cease even with Sale. They've been after him for years and we need another good SP. I fully expect AA to go hard after Cease this offseason.

Nobody is giving you a prospect the quality of replacing Sale that is younger lol. And yes you would know doubt have to replace Sale in FA. Where else would that production come from??

If they do trade Murphy they will probably get a pretty good haul back. A lot of teams need a C and Murphy is top 5 and with 3/45 left after this year that's a pretty good deal.

This is where I'm at. Go hard after 2 of Tucker, Bichette, and Cease. The time for AA to push his chips in will be this offseason and with how last offseason went and how much crap he's getting for the bad offseason he's not gonna repeat that mistake of sitting back bc it completely backfired...

I don't trade Murphy. It's nice having 2 excellent catchers to keep each other fresh. Let Ozuna walk next year and use that money towards a SP like Cease and let guys rotate through the DH spot. I like Ozuna but he is literally a bat only guy and really limits you if you need to rest guys like...

Get a couple of more good SP in the offseason and move Holmes and Lopez to the bullpen and that back end of the bullpen with JJ back would be nasty.

Fried doesn't strike me as the leader type. He is having a heck of a season though. Keep Sale, SS, and Strider together next year and build on that. With the CBA coming up after next year and the tax getting reset after this year AA should be able to spend big this offseason.
