Absolutely. I guess my comment was more so to indicate he hasn't met the expectations of what Mets fans expected from him or Cohen paid for.

Lindor seems to have peaked as a hitter with his age 24 season in Cleveland. So whether he has regressed or that season was a fluke, he still hasn't reached the heights or that season while in NY. The Mets farm system is actually middle of the pack, especially when you account for the...

Right now their hitting core is reliant on some of their prospects panning out though. Alvarez took a nice step this year. But outside of Alonso and Nimmo, they have McNeil who is 31 and his bat regressed big time this year. Lindor who is pushing 30 and bat regressed big time this year. Marte...

You're correct. But they could probably get a decent haul too by just eating those player's salaries for the team they send them to. Will be interesting to see if Buck gets fired if they miss the playoffs. Doesn't seem like his fault here.

If they get healthy and get right, the Brewers pitching staff is one you'd want to avoid in a short series. Although they are no lock for the playoffs and their hitting is terrible. Luckily they are in such a bad division. Wheeler and Nola, and other duo you'd like to avoid. But neither has...

On this date in 2021, the Braves were 32-36. The Mets are 33-37 by the way lol

In a sign of just how terrible the NL Central is this year, the division winner may be a team finishing under .500. The Reds are supposed to be in the middle of a rebuild but announced they may be buyers.

We should know more about them in a week and a half from now. They have a series with Oakland, followed by Atlanta and the Mets.

When I was there for the World Series I stayed in downtown Atlanta. Pretty frustrating that unless you want to pay for an Uber, you have to take the subway/bus combo to get to The Battery, as opposed to having just one direct line from downtown Atlanta.

And the Braves were pretty much innovators in going with The Battery. Now nearly every other franchise who has the ability is looking to construct something similar.

GDT 6/9- The UNLEASHING- AJSS takes the mound!

But that's not my point. We owe him that next year regardless. We don't have the option to sign him to that this off season. While he's looking good it's easy to imagine he will be this good the entire contract. He could easily lose it. He's 33 and already lost two ticks on his velocity.

Go back to the reaction on this board after we traded for him. Most couldn't figure out why we'd take on that entire contract.
