The public is doing well enough. You don’t need to search too hard to hear an argument for a given choice. But Congress is the one entrusted with the power to authorize war powers — not the public.

If Congress debated the arguments and voted whether to approve such actions perhaps the public would be better informed on why we should or shouldn’t.

Probably true because of the luxury of having fantastic neighbors (Canada and Mexico) and massive oceans. South Korea (or Israel or Ukraine or Taiwan… or any country in proximity with lunatic neighbors) would disagree with that assessment.

Why is it hilarious? I grew up in the mountain west in Utah where 2/3rds of the state land is owned by the federal government. Half of what the federal government owns they do nothing with. It’s not a national park, it’s not for conservation — it’s non designated land. It’s a big hit to state...
