    Minor League Thread Part Deux

103 avg? A few weeks ago it was 103-106. As a 16 y/o. That's eye and two reports. My thoughts easily over 100... Also...I wouldn't worry about HR's right now. He's got 7-8 extra base hits including a few triples. He drives the ball plenty.

He's my guy although I wish Perdomo hadn't all of a sudden forgot everything he was doing early. He's still so talented but Tornes has taken hitting to another level for a Brave position player. Patience...approach...barrel..EV....speed (15/15 SB)...He's legit..I just hope they don't tinker too...

Let us know your thoughts...just got done watching Tornes, Espinal and Martinez. Love the offensive potential of each. Diego is dialed in.

That's the move we've been waiting for.

    Didier Fuentes Stuff?

Didier just explained his splitter. Like I said. This kid... 4-seam FB CB - Spikes it. After the FB Sweeper - is not a Sweeper, it's a slider. Splitter - Throws it like his FB. Ever since he was a kid he's thrown it.

    I thought he posted recently...?

    Didier Fuentes Stuff?

Yes and no. I love the experience he'll get, but I like to see success a little more consistently in the minors. (My inner old man kicks in I guess). The one good thing I can say about him and AJSS, is that their composure was always incomparable. I've written enough about Didier. Lol. He...

    Didier Fuentes Stuff?

You and Ensheff make good points. This year he wasn't throwing his splitter that much in the minors, but he also threw a shorter slider in the minors and I did not see that in his debut. To Enscheffs other point he needs to speed up pitch mix pretty quickly but likely won't in the majors so...

    Didier Fuentes Stuff?

I often sit closer to scouts because it's cheap to go to games. I'm not the only one who thinks his splitter is good or going to be....That said I still maintain his splitter (while possibly being a developing pitch is a good pitch). I do think it can be the difference in him developing into a...

    MLB Draft Thread

Among the shortstops, Daniel Pierce Lex Lodise and Dean Curley. Lodise seems like he could move quickly, but I don't like his overall game. He fills all the stat columns so he won't dazzle, but he's highly thought of for a reason. Pierce I like, but not sure he'll be there.

Eh. I'm with you, but I'm the low man on Hack. However, I reserve the right to change that IF he adjusts to pitching backwards. He gets hit hard for someone who has a pretty good arm. He's about the 4th best pitcher in the system for me....but I digress. SS is a position that they should...

    Didier Fuentes Stuff?

Absolutely he does. I have no clue why he doesn't throw his splitter but it is an absolute fantastic pitch.

    Minor League Thread Part Deux

The Braves are vehemently against promoting DSL players stateside their first year. Diego may change that, but it's probably not in the cards. That said, he's the first position player in forever to even garner the thought. Kinda backwards the Braves don't push hitters like they do...

Doesn't even do justice. His exit velo is crazy for a16 year old. I've been told about his camp..I've seen his bat. He had more lift than you know. The ball jumped off his bat. He's up there swinging. Gonna have too tone his aggressiveness down as he moves up but jeez..at 16...he's impressive.

    Minor League Thread Part Deux

I've been in on Caminiti, but it's really easy without me having to even give a report on what I've seen (I've already done that), but he's been my one since spring. Even above Ritchie who I hold in high regard. The only guy I haven't raved about is Hackenburg and I'm still there. He's got...

GDT 6/20/25: Braves @ Marlins - Keep Streakin' for Didi

While Fuentes verified my faith in him, Waldrep..or someone else could have started. This leadership making decisions...is starting to look like shyt.

GDT 6/20/25: Braves @ Marlins - Keep Streakin' for Didi

Hopefully you guys see why he was my pick to be the most successful minor leaguer. That said, I don't care if it's the Marlins or my summer all star team...it's not the way to do it. Waldrep...ass and all would have been a better option ......or any one not name Didier.....Someone went to the...
