I have a sinking suspicion that the "building for 2017" is just a smoke screen for tearing down the roster for an extended period time and taking profits from the new Stadium. There are no signs that the team is anything but a last place team over the next two years.

Even if 25% of the pitchers hit we are in good shape there, but what about the lineup 2 years from now? I assume Freeman, Simmons and Peterson will be around, but who fits in around them? The FA list is sparse other than guys who we traded away. I'm struggling to see a contender put together.
