Hope he isn't hurt and that he does well. He's one of the few ex-Braves I like to root for (great story). Plus, he's in the AL so what he hits doesn't really affect the Braves too much.

Funny how, in the end, it wasn't so much the players traded but the money involved. IF Melvin were making less $$, he could have been released ("fired") for poor job performance. Kimbrel was the prime choice to trade because of his large salary. But MLB doesn't need a salary cap of any kind....

Shame there's not a salary cap to block spending on a relatively unknown gamble. Big budget teams can survive a bad investment if a player doesn't pan out but driving the price up keeps the middle to low budget teams from being able to take the risk. Of course, life is like that any way. When...
