Though I'll say that McCann is closer to worth 15 mil than Uggla or BJ. SMDH

Hey now, at least Schafer went down swinging, instead of watching the umpire call you out with the bat on your shoulder.

I actually like Carpenter. The manager should have been the one taking him out, the guy was out there trying to compete. I just don't agree with him being in there after the double, and don't agree with speeding up Uribe's bat with a slider at that point. Why was Freddie Freeman not...

Our management style is geared for the regular season, and seems completely incapable of adjusting to the game that's different in the playoffs. You can't play for tomorrow or Wednesday in a freaking elimination game.

Well it was obvious to me, because I was screaming in my living room to take Carpenter out, right before he gave up the homer.

How is an elimination game any different than 7th game of the WS? If you lose, you go home, with your best pitcher sitting on the bench.

Juan Uribe is old, his bat is not as fast as it used to be.

Plus, if Kimbrel stuggles in the 9th, you have the option of, you know, pitching someone else. Heck Starters could have been asked to come in and get an out, why not Mike Minor who wouldn't need to pitch until Friday?

Of course they're different, but he clearly wasn't picking up the fastball well if he could barely get a bat on it to bunt it.

So he can't even get the bat cleanly on Carpenter's fastball, but you expect him to be able to take a full swing at one?

It's like all of our players and coaches don't understand the very basic premise of having a sense of urgency. Sometimes if they're calling balls strikes, you have to freaking swing at a few balls. Sometimes when you're in the 8th inning and they get a lead off double, you've got to use your...

Get your head out of the statbook for a second. Did you see him be incapable of BUNTING the first two FB?

That kind of thinking works great in the regular season, because there's not many must win games. It's the long haul that wins the division. But in a short series, you've got to leverage your talent to what they do best, and it's inexcusable to not get Kimbrel in more than one game in the...

I was okay with Carpenter starting the 8th, but Fredi has to be freaking retarded to leave him in after that double. Once the winning run is at the plate, your best relief pitcher needs to be in there for as long as he can go. If he gets out of it, then hell we could have pitched 3 different...

Well McCann sure didn't hit anything in this series. He was awful at the plate.

Getting sick of these pitches off the plate being called strikes against us, and balls for our pitchers.

Get out of the mess first with your best pitcher, then figure out if he's got anything in the tank for the 9th. If not, you could pitch a damn starter if you have to.

As soon as there was a runner, we should have gone with Kimbrel. You've got an off day tomorrow, plenty of time to rest, and now unless our bats wake the heck up, we're going to have all off season to rest Kimbrel... Going down with your best pitcher on the bench is just freaking stupid.

How in the hell do you stick with Carpenter after the lead off double?
