    2025 Around The League Thread

If we want to find a trade partner for a SS, I think our better bet is gonna be Cleveland. Eat the rest of Ozuna's contract and offer them Murphy and Ozuna for their top SS prospect, Angel Genao.

    2025 Around The League Thread

I don't think so, unless Murphy just gets insanely hot over the next month. Murphy is good but not amazing. Wetherholt might be a top 10 overall prospect when the new rankings come out. I honestly kind of wonder if Masyn Winn might not be the guy they look to move in the off-season. He's very...

    Minor League Thread Part Deux

I think there is some benefit in letting some pitchers get hit around a bit in the minors and letting them find their way through it without them putting too much pressure on themselves. We have seen the spotlight be too big for some "finished" prospects when they get to the bigs. They...

I didn’t vote for Trump but I’m cautiously optimistic

They are called American citizens. I know it's crazy that the rights granted by our constitution only apply to American citizens. That's such an outrageous expectation.

    Minor League Thread Part Deux

I saw where Luke Waddell is back from injury. But he's playing 2b since his return. Anyone watched him play SS? Is he acceptable there or is he another Grissom/Alvarez in terms of fielding?

Braves at Brewers GDT Holmes going for 2 in a row

Riley is streaky. We know this. When he goes on one of his little tears where he hits .350 over 2 months and has like 18 homers everyone will talk about how much of a beast he is.

Braves visit the Brewers.... to make their Octoberfest plans

Thought the same thing. Had to be sitting on that pitch because that was nowhere near a strike.

Sale stops the bleeding GDT Braves vs Brewers

Even accounting for the "amped up" argument, he threw consistently harder in his first start of the year and has been clearly slower since. Soft tissue injures have a way of lingering. It would be really silly to assume his hammy issue has had zero affect on his velocity.

Sale stops the bleeding GDT Braves vs Brewers

He topped out at 98 in his first start of the year. He hasn't really come close to that since. Seems pretty clear it has had at least a little affect.

Sale stops the bleeding GDT Braves vs Brewers

Acuna had only 2 homers and 7 doubles his first 100+ PAs in 2022. He wasn't hitting the ball with much authority. Compare that to now where his average EV is 97.1 and he has 5 homers in his first 69 PAs. The only minor concern for Acuna right now is the K rate. But considering it's only been...

    State of the braves

After an absolutely horrendous stretch in Early May, the Oz-man has now reached base safely in 23 of his last 24 games. Not much power to speak of, but he's rocking a .400 OBP over this stretch. Now if we could just get Harris back on track, we might just be working with something offensively...

    Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

These posts literally contradict each other and you posted them 10 min apart. LMAO. Thanks for doing our job for us.

    State of the braves

I've been trying to find trade partners that make sense for Murphy and that would bring back a MLB ready SS prospect. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of teams that make sense in that respect. Most of the projected buyers are either set at C or don't have a SS available in such a trade. But I...

GDT 6/8: Need A Win In A Giant Way

Well that is a bit different than "Blowing it up." That's more of a soft reset. I am on the fence on trading Sale. We need a pitcher like Sale if we are going to be successful in 2026. But Sale is our best trade piece. We could certainly acquire our SS of the future by trading him. Murphy...

GDT 6/8: Need A Win In A Giant Way

We were a 89 win team last year that got notably worse in the off-season. The only addition was Profar. We were banking on Acuna and Strider returning and replacing the production we lost from Fried, Morton, TDA, Soler, etc, but that hasn't happened like we thought. And then we faced more...

People had plenty of issues with Bobby Cox, but I don't recall anyone saying he was the worst manager in baseball.

GDT 6/8: Need A Win In A Giant Way

Dude, this team isn't worth saying "f it" on. We are a super long shot to make the playoffs at this point. Regardless how the East shakes out, we likely need a minimum of 87 wins to make the playoffs. That means we need to go 60-38 the rest of the way just to even have a small shot at making the...

    Snit watch is on.

I mean he has to have lost the locker room by now. No fire whatsoever. Constantly making terrible in game choices. The players can see it.

    State of the braves

I think the hammy injury is likely still lingering a bit, as soft tissue injuries tend to do. Strider maxed out at 97.9 MPH in his first start, before straining his hammy. He has barely touched 97 since returning.
