From Shanks on Twitter:

Draft picks signed by @Braves so far: RHP Stephen Moore (10), OF Bradley Keller (15), RHP Sean McLaughlin (19) and RHP Dalton Geekie (22)

The best players from round 11 on that we could hopefully sign.

RD 11 - RHP - Grayson Jones - Shelton State CC - Was ranked as high as 209 last year but returned to JC and had a bad year. Was drafted in 14th round last year and didnt sign. Low 90's FB with potential for average CB with CU a distant third pitch. Very bad command of his pitches but if you can throw north of 90 mpg and spin a decent breaking ball theres potential with refined command to be a MLB pitcher. Probable upside of a non closing reliever. Doubtful he signs.

RD 12 - OF - Justin Ellison - Western Oklahoma State JC - Put up godly stats in Division II ball. 21 homers 22 SB. Top 10 in OBP and Slugging%.

RD 13 - LHP - Chase Johnson-Mullins - Shelton State CC - #232 on BA top 500. Has already had TJ surgery in the last 3 years. He is 6'9 270 pounds and throws in the low 90's. Hasnt pitched much in the last 3 years. Has significant upside for a JC player. Would be a really good signing if we can get him.

RD 14 - C - Trey Keegan - Bowling Green - Ranked #396 by BA. Good bat speed with a good approach at the plate and above average arm behind the plate. Had TJ surgery in 2013 and is already 22. I bet he takes what he can get.

RD 20 - LHP - Jarrett Hellinger - McDonough, GA HS - #389 by BA. 6'3 170 pounds that throws around 90 mph with projection for more velocity. CB and CU potential to be average pitches and has a good delivery for strike throwing. I hope we get him.

RD 32 - OF - DJ Neal - Georgia HS - #353 by BA. Big time athlete with strong college commitment playing both baseball and football. Least likely to sign but highest upside.

Looks like Keegan will be signing.

Players drafted this week have until August 15 to either sign a contract or opt to return to school. If Keegan had chose to return to the Falcons, he would have had two seasons of eligibility remaining. But the decision has already been made.

“I’m going to be signing,” said Keegan, who was slated to play for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League this summer. “Instead of playing summer ball, I’ll sign, then head to Orlando for a mini-camp, before heading to Virginia to play short season Single-A ball.”

Sounds promising on Ellison as well.

Ellison, 20, played center field and right field for Western Oklahoma State, a junior college in Altus, Okla. Ellison had signed to play at Oklahoma State, but he said Wednesday that he is likely to sign with the Braves.

“I am leaning toward signing. I am ready to get started on my pro career,” Ellison said.

Ellison said he had an idea he would get drafted Wednesday.

“I had an idea, but you never know with the draft. But I kind of knew,” he said. “I have been talking with the Braves for awhile now. They had been scouting me since early in the season. I went to work out for them in Atlanta May 31-June 2. They were telling me good things about the draft.

“I was a Braves fan growing up; it is such a blessing to be picked by the hometown team. I grew up watching them. My favorite player was Jason Heyward.”

Read a tweet that pointed out that South Carolina signee D.J. Neal was already enrolled and on campus. Does that not make him ineligible to be signed?

I believe that rule no longer applies. But he's one I wouldn't expect to sign.

Is Yelich related to Christian? And I need to read up on the kid from Crest, Shelby is really close to me and the school is in my high schools conference but I haven't heard of the kid...
