One notable move this month was the release of pitcher Jeremy Walker on Feb. 12.

Was he released or just dropped from the 40-man? He's recovering from an injury and was on the 60-day DL last season.

Trey Harris was a 2B at the University of Missouri, but has played OF only as a Braves' minor league player, but maybe they are moving him back. I'm still a bit baffled as to why he wasn't at the alternate site last summer seeing his rapid rise through the system and participation in the Arizona Fall League in 2019. He may not be a high-ceiling prospect, but he could be a contributor.

Covid related?

Had already been reinstated from the 60-Day DL - was released to create a spot for Demeritte.

The 60-day DL does not extend beyond the season, so he had to be put back on the 40-man once the season ended. There's no 60-day DL during the off-season.

I understand that - he was put back on the 40 at the same time Soroka was.

He was released when they signed Demeritte since they needed a spot on the 40-Man.

Jake Lamb signing will apparently be a big league contract, meaning someone will have to be dropped from the 40-man once he passes a physical. Will add him at that time.

Harris position corrected.

Anything coming out of camp? Who is in the best shape or their life? Who gonna make a case for the roster?

The Braves "beat writer" Gabe has very little about ST. Most of what he has posted is "retweet" stuff. With the 1st game in 3 days it would be nice to know something about what's going on in camp. Who is not there, who looks "good" as far as being in shape, etc. This has been a poorly covered ST. Some more pics would be nice.

Access is probably limited.

Beat writers generally have un-restricted access.

ST game 1 pitchers announced by DOB.

#Braves plan to have these fellas toe the slab for Sunday's 7-inning Grapefruit League lid-lifter against the Rays: Kyle Wright, Sean Newcomb, Grant Dayton, Carl Edwards Jr., Chad Sobotka, Patrick Weigel.
