Baseball has suspended Danville outfielder Justin Black for the first 50 games of the 2015 season for use of an amphetamine.

Black, the Braves' 4th-round pick in 2012 out of the baseball hotbed of Billings, Mont.,he was given $300,000 to set aside a scholarship to Nebraska. He was .262-2-16 for Danville with eight stolen bases. That was a 120-point improvement over his average in Danville last year.

Also, infielder Jared Cruz (.182-0-4 with GC Braves) sent to Astros as PTBNL for very useful reliever Andrew Robinson.
