I noticed that Rojas and Cunniff were on Gwinnett early this week. I literally saw them on Saturday with Mississippi and then on Monday or Tuesday saw stats for them in AAA.. thought I had too many beers on Saturday..

I tell you Rojas and Swanson and Peterson talked a lot. you could see them talking about the pitcher and his stuff.. it was really cool to see.

From @gondeee . . . Meneses and Odom promoted to MIS, Lien activated from DL for MIS. Been looking forward to Lien getting back. Another guy that would have a shot at contributing next year.

Two new names with Carolina: Isaias Tejeda, a catcher, was in Yankees farm system from 2010-2015; was hitting .351 with York of Atlantic League. Never played higher than Class A.

The other is second baseman Jose Fernandez -- and I need your help. Put this in a separate thread. Is this the Cuban second baseman Jose Miguel Fernandez who held a tryout on June 13 with Lazarito??? No activity I can find pro or con? HELP

Morris looked really good pitching for MS tonight. Low 90's fastball followed by a low 70's change up. Had the hitters he faced off balance.

Whalen, Gant and now Morris. That's a heck of a return for Kelly Johnson.

I completely understand why they did it, but we completely fleeced the Mets.

Saw Morris live on Saturday last week. Really liked his stuff. He got wild towards the last of his second inning. But his stuff was electric.

Can we start getting excited about him yet??

Last 4 starts he has gone 22ip, 17H, 4ER, 8BB, 26K 1.64 ERA with a 1.13 WHiP

I've been excited about him! His stuff was rusty at first, but holy crap that guy's pitches are crisp and his mechanics are beautiful.
