Why are they forcing Man-Ban to have Aybar at short instead of Albies? Aybar playing short in AAA means nothing and the ship has sailed on getting anything for him.

I'm wondering if they're leaning toward Albies at 2B for the long term and saw this as a good jumping off point (versus moving him off SS for Brignac). I'm not real passionate about whether it ends up being Albies or Dansby at SS . . . just hope they take their time and make the right call.

The timing could also work well for a Swanson promotion so they can start playing together - if you keep Aybar rehabbing for most of the week, you could watch them side-by-side until one or both are promoted (whenever that might be). If Aybar's reactivated late next week and he doesn't perform, you're pretty much past the Super-Two cutoff concerns.

I can all buy guarantee you its going to be Albies at 2B when both he and Swanson are in the majors.

Thats what i figured as well. His bat profiles well there, he seems to have the lesser arm of the two per the scouts and I think the Braves are gonna be more inclined to let swanson try to become a team figurehead type of Jeter player from the SS position.

Swanson with an RBI-double. Him and Albies both need to get hot, though I'm not worried about either bat.

Fried has been pretty solid so far tonight. His pickoff move is devastating.

Bill Shanks has a report that Folty will miss tomorrow's start due to bone spurs. Gant is the scheduled started for GWI, so I wonder if he's in Los Angeles right now, or en route.

Per Ken Rosenthal, Folty expected to be OK in about a week, so that is a good sign but would probably mean no DL therefore, we'd probably see the starter take someone's bullpen spot.

Folty had elbow trouble in minors in Houston too, so I said last year if he got going here he'd probably be due to get hurt about that time. Hope that isn't going to come true.

Any repoert about why Banuelos was removed after one inning? Just wildness or an issue?

There are a lot of potential young bullpen arms on the verge in the system. My guess is, Tyrell Jenkins realistic outlook in Atlanta will be as a late inning reliever. Shae Simmons should be getting activated soon. Kyle Kinman almost made the team out of spring training and offers a left handed option as a potential late inning guy. Cory Withrow is already up with the Atlanta team. Jason Hursh could find a role as a middle reliever. John Gant's long term outlook is probably as a long/middle reliever. Same with Rob Whalen.
