Not too long until Manny is our 2nd lefty in the pen I would guess.

I'd rather not. Let him start until he hits his innings-limit, then shut him down and prepare to vie for a rotation spot next spring.

What are your thoughts on whether relief pitching has more of a negative impact on pitchers arms?

Fredi has a negative impact on relief pitcher's arms, but I don't know of any studies that suggest it is worse than starting.

I would prefer that route as well, but I don't think the company of John's can sit through many more bullpen meltdowns.

Well I'd hope that—as the initiators and architects of this rebuild—the three-headed AARPANET would be more (and not less) patient than either of us.

I'd bring Manny up if he hits his inning limit.

Wouldnt do it now, let him keep starting.
