Yeah, nice to see Mallex draw those walks. His walk rate had fallen off in AAA relative to other levels in the minors.

Connor Lien with his 27th stolen base tonight.

His 5 tools are blossoming into skills!!

It's only been 9 innings but I was hoping for more dominance from Hursh upon moving to the pen. He's getting hit harder than he should considering how overpowering his stuff should be out of the pen.

Anyone seen him since he moved to the pen? Is he just leaving too many fastballs over the middle of the plate?

I really want to see things click for him. He has the stuff to be special but his star is starting to dim a bit. He's repeating AA, doing worse the second time, and if he doesn't break out in the pen there's not much else to do with him. Let's hope he gets his feet under him soon.

I saw his first two appearances. Was falling behind hitters and not getting his fastball past people Saw little reason to believe he'll be any more of a success in the bullpen, to be honest.
But I also saw Barbosa flirt with a no-hitter in his first Miss. start, and see that he allowed only one hit Saturday. He was hit hard once, but the other three starts have been utterly dominant. Remarkable pickup, even in the short term.

Thanks rico! Wish the report on Hursh was better.hate seeing a first rounder's stock fall like his has. But there is a reason the scouting department got an overhaul last offseason.

I was hoping to see him break out after a move to the pen. He's always been known for the big fastball that I had hoped would play better out of the pen. Hopefully he turns things around.
