that is where he finished at too. I wish they would just let them go one more inning now that there are only a few games left.

Eh, there's no reason to. If he's about to shut his arm down, the added work doesn't help him long-term, and you always run the risk of overextending him beyond what he's used to.

In fact, I'd err on the side of shutting him down earlier and building him up to start next year.
 
Mader through 5 now on 69 pitches. No runs, 4 hits, no walks, 3 Ks. A lot to like about his age 22 season in A+ / AA.
 
do we have anyone who can hit the ball within this organization tonight. Guys are pitching their hearts out (less Blair) and nobody is producing runs.
