If this is a really nagging injury, Justin may just want to rest until Friday night at Philadelphia missing the last 2 Miami games, the 3-game Mets series and have an off day Thursday. Rosters expand tomorrow with a comfortable lead, so why not? Atlanta has a 3 game lead on LA for best record, so that's a goal to still keep in mind.
 
Fredi's fascinating fetish for Elliot Johnson continues. How much longer will he milk that pumpkin? Enquiring minds want to know.
 
I am fine with resting Justin right now. Make sure he is 100% before putting him back out there. We will need him 100% in October.

Until he quits producing. Say what you want, he was one of the few (2) Braves who had a hard hit off of the marlins last night.
 
This is the benefit of having such a big lead. Hopefully we can wrap up the #1 seed by last week of September.

Thats five straight for Mac, so I guess he sits tommorow.

Hopefully we can put a couple across and Minor pitches well.

Especially with September calluses looming.
 
By the way don't look for any waiver deals tonight before the deadline. Frank Wren has said they've been monitoring it all week and there's nothing there. And DOB in an earlier article said the Braves made several claims including Marlon Byrd but their position in the standings didn't allow it to happen.
 
Anybody see that interview with Kris Medlen? It was extremely funny and you can see why this team is in first as the club house has great chemistry.
 
Elliot is the key to our success. He isn't quite the talisman yet, but he is trending in that direction.
