piling on Ray Rice? Could there be a racial component there?

My personal opinion is that Ray Rice's suspension and contract termination is sexist in nature. As a culture we shoehorn a woman into the cockpit of fighter pilot, add a bunch of points to her performance, pin the wings on her uniform and call her a fighter pilot. She's not a fighter pilot. She's a social promotion just like our pres. We essentially do this in any area where males excel because they are superior physically. WOW. I said it. Men ARE physically superior. This happens in fire and police departments all over the country. The military. UPS docks. These are just a few examples. Either women are equal and can compete or they can't.

Now if Ray Rice had knocked the **** out of goldfly in a bar fight would he have been suspended? I doubt it. Let's face it goldfly's physical prowess is barely any better than that of the girl Rice smacked across the face. Goldfly would have hit the floor as fast if not faster than that woman. Picture that in your mind.

There are a lot things here that peeps just aren't comfortable discussing so everyone piles on Rice cuz it's easy.
 
Not really sure where you are going with this.

This has nothing to do with race. The bottom line is that you can't hit a woman. No matter your skin color.

It's just a thinly veiled way of saying goldfly is a wuss while encompassing it in a current event debate to make it not seem so obvious.

I think it's hilarious and can't wait to see his reply. I'm hoping he comes out threatening to run VOL over in his Prius or strangle him with one of his scarves but I'm sure he'll just say something like "you think that's clever?" and that will be it.

Rice should've just carried her from the elevator so people would look and think she was blacked out drunk... the fact he dragged her halfway into the hallway for everyone to see was a mistake.

Of course it doesn't excuse what he did, but I'm sure he's not the first and not the last high testosterone athlete to hit his spouse and nobody knew about it.
 
I think the sensationalism of the case kinda takes the feminist movement a few steps back.

While Vol is incomprehensible, he is right. If Ray Rice hit a man, nobody would care. He hit a woman. And everyone hates him. I agree - it's despicable. But let's put the brakes on the whole equality thing, then, shall we?
 
Oprah and Whoopie would actually agree with Vol and they are black women.

Just like one caller said to either Jay Mohr or Jim Rome can't remember that black women will get in your grill like no other. Jersey Girl here could probably vouch on how much they can tear a man apart verbally.

Personally I wouldn't hit her, but not knowing what had happened prior we still don't know what lead to it.

If he did a Deebo to Red punch just for the hell of it, he should be in jail now.

this thread is pretty much saying you should be able to hit women cause "they say they are equal to men". Picture that in your mind.
