This is weird. But I've felt like that with a lot of these promotions and pretty much all have worked.

They've been playing Demeritte at third for a while. Guess he's heading back to second.
 
If Riley is a 2nd half player who catches fire while moving up a level and Demeritte has a hot streak after moving back to a more comfortable position this is a brilliant move right before the deadline.

Otherwise it doesn't make sense.
 
I'd rather see Albies brought up now rather than be traded. Trade all the pitching we've hoarded and acquired to get what we need.
