Braves acquired INF Osvaldo Martinez from the Dodgers.

No word yet on what the Dodgers will receive in return. Martinez will report to Triple-A Gwinnett and function as infield depth for the Braves.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gosselin in Atlanta at some point this season, but I doubt he'd be a guy they'd bring up and insert as the starting 2B. If they wanted to swap out Pastornicky for a couple of weeks so that he could be some regular ABs, Gosselin would be a logical choice to replace him. But other than that, I don't know where he'd fit.

But the furor would be epic!
 
Gosselin is pretty deserving of a call-up. He and La Stella both have pronounced conventional splits. I'm more of a fan of platoons than most around here and think a Gosselin/La Stella platoon would work pretty well.

Given they've been moving Gosselin all over the diamond, I could live with what you suggest. La Stella is a 2B and Gosselin could split time there and spell Johnson and be used in double-switches with either the SS or LF.

The minor league rules for shuttling plays on and off the DL are not nearly as strict as in the majors. Plus they can always send a AAA guy to one of the lower teams. Or the big league team.
 
Ozzie has been playing short and third in Chattanooga all season, but the Dodgers have moved up a $25 mil. Cuban signee to play short and moved him to a utlity role. He's been in the majors with the Marlins and definitely has a major league glove. Just another versatile veteran, glad to see him out of Double-A, where he definitely did not belong. Like everyone else, I look forward to the corresponding move(s).
