I don't get why Tarnok wasn't on this list. He wasn't at a high innings threshold either.

Caveat that this is just a joke as revenge for Rico, but...who is Sean Langeliers?

Not terribly surprised with any of the names, but I definitely expected Tarnok to be on the list. A little surprised to see Langeliers, to be honest.

Anyone else people expected to see? Part of me hoped it would be an opportunity for De La Cruz to get back on the wagon in a different environment. Thought we might see Corbin Clouse on the list as well as he works back.

Why is Langeliers a surprise? He may be our best prospect.

Thanks for the catch.

Hes a surprise only to the extent that I don't think he needed to go there.

Guy just had a full season catching for the first time. I think a fall of rest was in order.

DH plus TDA will make extra work this year irrelevant.

Shea will still need to get everyday work IMO at AAA. I don't want him to get 2-3 appearances a week.

Personally, I think it will be either Contreras or a FA catcher that spends half the year as TDA's caddie.

Shea will be up by June next year, either because he’s kicking down the door, or to cover for another TDA injury.

Thats why I'm not interested in him getting more reps this fall.

He will be getting everyday reps in AAA next year.

It'll probably be Contreras/TDA next year. No need to spend money on a backup catcher.

I'd think they would want to give a catcher a good bit of rest after a long season, especially when he there's a decent chance he could spend significant time in Atlanta next year.

They also picked up Tromp, and will control him for a good while. Not a whole lot of reason to spend money on a backup this winter with Contreras' improved defense and Langeliers beginning to beat on the door - if they want Shea to get everyday reps at the beginning of the season there's more than enough in-house depth to have him in Gwinnett for a while, plus there are always a handful of vets floating around when camps break that will take a split deal to act as an emergency option on a contender.
