Braves fire Seitzer and assistant hitting coach. Also Fasano.

It would be funny if it wasn't so stupid.

Braves were #1 in runs scored in 2023, then #15 in 2024.

Rangers were #3 in runs scored in 2023, then #18 in 2024.

One hitting coach is a bum who got fired, while the other is being crowned the Prince of Hitting by a new organization and fanbase

Gotta love it!

I think Seitzer is a phenomenal hitting coach with a great track record.

I also think it could be true that the team needed a refresh. Hyers seems like he’ll be a good fit.

I’d be shocked if this wasn’t the majority opinion on this board and in the fan base.

Hyers seems to have a pretty good track record. But the Braves getting Acuna back, having Albies for most of the year, and Riley back will make the offense better than Hyer itself. But AA probably wanted a new approach since the last 3 years in the playoffs, the bats went cold.

The bats did not go cold in 2022. And they just sucked in 2024.

Just to be clear, it appeared more so that Seitzer indicated to the team he didn't feel like he could do the job anymore, wasn't the voice that could get through to the players, and the parting of ways seemed to be worked around that. I believe he was technically "fired" so that he could still collect the final year of his contract. If he had resigned, he would have lost that.

Remember, AA had stated after the season ended he expected all of the coaches back, and then this came out of nowhere.

I like the hire. We can talk about the regulars just being normal again, and that might be true, but it will be interesting to see if he can get guys like Kelenic going.

Fair point for sure.

But I guarantee if the offense scores 850 runs next year the narrative will be about how much difference this new guy made.

We scored 3, 1, and 3 in three of the games. And had a late rally in Game 1, wouldnt exactly say the bats were great in 22. Speaking for playoffs anyway.

You can’t conveniently leave out a game. We scored 6 runs in game 1. And 3 runs in a playoff game is acceptable when you’re facing the quality of pitching we were. We averaged 3.25 runs a game that series. If we averaged that in 2023 we win the series in 4 games.

It needed to be done. But ultimately this is just step 1 of AA trying anything to cover all the mistakes he made the last few years until ultimately he gets fired too.

It should be fun watching FF continue to be great player and leader while the Braves get to watch Aids fade faster than my daughters pink shirt in hot water. Or WC grow into the top NL catcher while meth head continues to mow 75% of the teams games.

Keep firing coaches AA. We all know why the window is closing.
