Unsurprisingly, Lopez ranked #4 in all MLB in 2018 for framing on a per game basis out of 67 catchers who caught 2000+ pitches.

Flowers ranked #10 and was extended.

Suzuki ranked #55 and was not extended.

I suspect we are seeing a trend developing here.
