These are the kind of things that cannot be imagined. Only in actual fact that newly awakened slugger Braxton Davidson hits a game-winning homer in the bottom of the 10th, but has to be helped off field after he suffered a sprained ankle as he ran around the bases.

Peoria trailed Salt River 2-0 going into the bottom of the ninth, but tied it on a wild pitch and an RBI single. Davidson, who hit six homers during the AFL regular season, homered with one out in the 10th for the 3-2 win. Davidson had driven in 14 runs over his last nine regular season games.

It wasn't "in the scrum" FWIW - he grimaced and started hopping on one leg about three strides before he reached the plate. It wasn't a Kendrys Morales scene, but it did remind you of it.

The homer was one of those absolute no-doubters though - even the announcers knew it was gone at the moment of contact.

Later report indicates it was only a mid-ankle sprain pending results of the MRI.
