That would be quite a feat for someone coming off his age 17 season. Andruw was BA's #1 after his age 18 season and their #21 after his age 17 season.

Harper was ranked #1 by Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus after 39 pro AB's as a 17 year old. Maitian is our Harper.

I would take that a million times over. Even with a rough year, dude is still getting on base at a great clip and has some power. He will be fine year, sadly.
 
I've loved the opinions on Maitan as we got closer to July and afterward. For a stretch before mid-June it seemed like there was some prospect fatigue where everyone was hedging a bit on him, but most have gone back to fully on board with him.
 
Wouldn't they need to see Maitan in full season ball to make him top 10? Is there any indication he might play in low A next year?
