Wyers was the dude at Baseball Prospectus who was in charge of their PECOTA forecasts and MLEs and what not after Nate Silver left to go get yelled at on TV. He has been running the Astros analytics department for awhile now. It's hard to imagine why he'd want to leave such a successful team at this particular moment.
