Obviously the Braves need to put humpty dumpty back together again and evaluate how bad the scars are going to be but assuming anything like a reasonable offseason I think the Rockies could be a good match for the Braves.
1. The Rockies are in their window of contention.
2. The Braves are not.
3. The Rockies needs are SP, RP, 1B, bench and potentially catcher if they don't re-sign LuCroy.
4. The Braves have Adams, Kemp, Markakis and Flowers all as potential sell pieces. Adams makes sense for them at 1B. The Rocks haven't been shy about using OF at 1B so I included Kemp and/or Markakis but am doubtful at any ultimate match. Flowers fits for them but I don't want to trade him away from the Braves young pitching unless it's a deal too good to pass up.
5. The Braves have Viz, Johnson, Ramirez, Freeman, etc. available in the pen.
6. The Braves could trade Folty and/or Teheran in the right deal with the Rocks.
7. Kemp, Markakis, Adams, Adams, Jace, etc all could be bench pieces but salary expense would have to be overcome.
With the Rocks, I like Dahl (even though he seems injury prone), Welker, Vilade, Murphy, Patterson. Not thrilled about McMahon.
