It is sad because it shows that he had some conscience. Maybe's he a little closer to redemption than the ones who refuse to admit what they did, but who knows?

It's sad, period. We need these structures of misconduct and silencing and body-invasion and -oppression to be exposed and dismantled, but we also need space for reconciliation and redemption. It's too bad, no matter what he did, that he felt this was the answer.
