Does it seem weird ....

That they have been so quite on what SRod's surgery actually was and/or what the injury specifically is? Does that not seem a bit strange to anyone?

Such a wide difference in the recovery time is weird to me. 3-5 months is what I heard and that's quite a difference

First, the joke is in bad taste. The perp in the stolen police car died and Rodriguez' wife and kids were hospitalized. He probably felt like any injury he had was unimportant at the time.

That said, the Braves have always, and that is an absolute ALWAYS, covered up injuries whenever they could.

Sean and his family are alive. That's more important than any releasing of any baseball related injury information. It sucks we won't have him, but the bigger picture is what really matters here.

Yes of course. The thing I am wondering is if this may be a career ending injury. It's like the Braves are not announcing the injury to protect him from questions right now...which is totoally understandable, with what he's gone through.

Yeah, I hope the reasoning is that that the human side of this matters more than the baseball/business side.
