2. I melt at least 15 times before the braves do win the east though.

3. Newcomb rights the ship and strings together 2-3 good starts to close the season.

4. Duvall has a big hit/game that helps win a critical game.

5. Yankees take down Red Sox in divisional round

6. Astros beat dodgers, again

There's my responses to yours.
 
Agree with all of Smootness predictions with little confidence in Braves win East. The offense needs to get to many things together--Freeman, Markakis, Albies, Camargo and Jr needs to repeat his Aug stats. The BP needs to figure out how to throw good strikes to the 1st batter faced and greatly reduce BBs.
 
My prediction is the same it's been for a month...

The Braves and Phils play for the NL East in 7 of the last 10 games of the season. Braves win the division by 1-2 games.

I'm not even going to attempt to predict what players do over a 20 game sample, or in 5-7 game series. However, I will say that the Braves offense matches up very well against teams with LH SPs, which helps their chances against the Cubs and Dodgers.

It is a given that this board with throw more and more tantrums the closer we get to the end of the season.
