Today is a sad day for children all across 'Murica.

Today is the last time there will be a Saturday Morning Cartoons block on any of the network tv channels. A tradition that has been in this great nation for several decades, a half century even. Thanks again corporate America!

My kids will never get the chance to experience waking up at 7am all groggy or laying in bed pointing the remote at the tv forcing yourself to wake up and watch the new episodes on Saturday mornings. All as a nice reward to a long week at school and getting to sleep in a little bit.

Before any of you bring up Netflix/Hulu/On-Demand you can shove it. It's not the same as being able to flip back and forth to different channels and watching what was available. That was a better charm than binging everything on-demand.

R.I.P. Saturday Morning Cartoons.

I Remember growing up and watching Richie Rich, smurfs, GI Joe, Grape Ape

Does anyone remember the Sunday morning cartoons on the USA network? Believe it was called the USA Sunday morning Cartoon express. Lasted 3-4 hours and had a bunch of cartoons.

Saturday morning cartoons was the best part of the weekend for me growing up in the 80's. I wish there was an easy way to watch most of them today. Why doesn't Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime offer them? They can't be that expensive to get the rights to, it's not like they're being played on any channel anywhere these days.

Many cartoons are offered on various streaming services. I've been enjoying Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain on Amazon Prime for example. As far as other Cartoons, it's supply and demand. If you want it request it from Netflix or Hulu. They don't know what their subscribers want without you asking them.
