I'm not trying to diminish what happened. There needs to be attention paid by DHS but in totality that attention should be minimal compared to Islamic terrorism. We have been lucky to not have more attacks here. It's just luck though.

For the most part terrorism is indefensible. Whether or not we get attacked is primarily a matter of luck

Plenty of US-based "militia" groups and para-military "clubs" espouse these types of views. I guess it's likewise pure luck that some of those haven't (yet) mounted competent attacks over the past couple decades.

So what you are saying is these groups are comparable to ISIS/AL Quadea/Boko Haram?

I'm sure he isn't, but I'm sure as hell content to say that they pose roughly the same danger to Americans domestically as those groups.

They're not the same, but they're not so different, either. Regardless, all are para-military groups—distinct in size and coherence, sure, and with differing Abrahamic religious dogmas undergirding their ultraconservative political missions—but none really have "standing armies".

Are you troubled by the preaching of radical forms of Islam in association with actual standing armies? Maybe attend your gaze to Saudi Arabia, the birthplace and chief progenitor/funder of the ideologically hyper-strict, sharia-cleaving, violently puritanical strain of Islam that is philosophically foundational to each of the groups you mention; and which, by the way, spends more than a full tenth of its GDP on its military (with plenty of US aid), and is currently bombing the life out of Yemen (with plenty of US cover).
 
It's a disgrace how buddy buddy we are with Saudi Arabia. If you don't have a free society then we should not have any associations. It's a complete joke IMO.

We blow up 100,000 times more **** in Muslim countries than they do to us. If your just a Muslim being vocal about hating America for bombing the **** out of your country then you might make the next drone strike list. You think your scared of Islamic terroists blowing you up, imagine being in Iraq and hearing or seeing a US drone. Thats real terror. We are trying to put out a fire by pouring gasoline on it and wondering why the fire keeps getting bigger.
