Football

I could give two sh*ts about Danny Kanell and his conspiracy theories, but I think some of this is overblown. The jockocracy always cracks me up.

To me, it boils down to the lack of coaching of proper techniques and kids playing to make "highlight reel" hits. Players lead with their heads way too much. For all the griping from fans about targeting calls, on-field penalties are probably the only way to bring back form tackling. It's a bit ironic that improvements in pads and helmets have also contributed to the problem, because players now view themselves as invulnerable to injury and play more recklessly as a result. Again, leading with their head.

That said, I think in 50 years, football may be the new boxing.

Free will, your choice.

You want to do something that can hurt you...it is your choice.

With all the parents living vicariously through their kids and forcing sports upon them, is it really a 10 year old's choice to play football if he's not being exposed to other sports that would accomplish exercise without the contact?

If they are not under my roof, it is their choice.

My kids are not permitted to play sports that are unhealthy (Football, Hockey)
