Gameday threads

<B>Voted Worst Poster <br> 2015 (Co-Winner)</BR>20
As most of you I implemented a new idea for the gameday threads this past season. Not necessarily 100 percent successful, but I thought it was pretty fun anyway. Would you guys want me to continue with this? I'd be more than happy to keep up over the course of the season. If this is something we want to, just me know and as the season approaches I will post the info again.

I am thinking about doing YNOT this year as well, but I will need help with people coming up with their own questions from time to time.

To steal an idea from another board I think we should vote on MVP's for each game afterwards. 3 points for first, 2 for second, 1 for third and then add up at the end of the year to determine the Braves MVP.

I'd win the season because Fredi would be the MVP for the year when we finish with best record in the NL.

Last year I tended to start the gamethread most of the time near the end of the season because I was constantly checking for when lineups released for my fantasy team anyway. I have no problem continuing to create gamethreads as much as I can again this year, but if we want to do a different process I'm cool with it.

Both ideas sound very good to me. Only reason it was an issue last season was because we needed the game threads to help keep the board alive during its infant stages. So if they were late then it could've been an issue. Now though it's not an issue.

Correct. Hopefully my idea will pan out this time.

I think the problem with your plan is it's too unorganized. A new person is supposed to start it every time after a loss or something, but it's too hard to know whose turn it is and some people don't even like creating them. Plus I'm not superstitious at all and don't see how this would be fun or anything.

Not unorganized at all. It's pretty simple actually. During a loss someone can call
The next GDT if they choose.

I can still use help on YNOT.

I started a new program to do it. I just wish I knew what coding they use for this web site. I would like to embed a table like structure that people can enter their answers and all I have to do is retrieve and download it, then use SSIS to import to a backend SQL server, without doing it manually especially if I get a lot of people and it is much more fun with 20+ people.

Would that be the Braves forum on the Atlanta Falcons website? Because I posted over there and we pick a game MVP as well.

Niners the idea I like is doing it series to series. It cuts down on the clutter and makes it easier to follow. If the Braves had a good series then the poster that created the thread for that series would create the next thread for the next series. But if the Braves had a bad series then someone new would create the next thread for the next series. Really either way is fine.

I don't think it's that hard to follow, but whatever the majority wants is cool. I would say let's vote on it, but the overall lack of interest makes me think it's pointless.

I mean what if someone is doing a series and they are unable to post a lineup for a certain day? I know personally, I like to know the lineup as soon as it is released, and I feel others might as well, but then again I have no idea.
