GDT #33: May 7, 2014, Cardinals (Wainwright) @ Braves (Minor) 7:10 PM EST

Bullpen seems to be getting back on track. Too bad our starters are giving up bombs, and the offense is incapable of scoring multiple runs over the last week and a half.

Same lineup from last year minus McCann.

BJ is performing better than last year, Uggla is on the verge of being gone for good.

BABIP won't come close to his season last year, Simmons is going to be Simmons.

Heyward has been better (outside of tonight), Justin looks like he might show up in May this year, Freddie has not been that lucky with hard hit balls, Gattis could be moved down in the order.

I just think it's crazy to think we're going to average 1 run a game the rest of the season. We're going to score whether it's everybody homering or Justin or Freddie carrying us, and maybe even Heyward.

I don't think its crazy to think we may have one of the 5 worst offenses in the NL, which will kill our chances of being any good. We have a lot of guys who are HR or nuthing and no bench worth a damn. And don't bring up losing Uggla as an upgrade unless you know something I don't about us having someone who is clearly better.

HEL-LO 2ND PLACE!

Carpenter is as annoying as La Russa except he actually plays.

Every time Carpenter plays against us I just wanna punch him through the TV.

Can't think of a player that annoyed me more when playing us, maybe Luis Castillo or Mike Redmond.

Well, if you're a glass half full person you could argue that the team has been horrible offensively yet still has a decent record all things considered.

If you're a glass half empty person you could argue that the starting pitching has been great and our record should be a lot better.

And as for me. I'm a glass full of booze type of person and thus I don't know what the hell to think.
